GOPHERS IN NEBRAKSA
The Gophers will play three strong opponents including #1 Nebraska in the Ameritas Players Challenge this weekend. They start off with #25 Cal Poly tonight, then see #20 Louisville on Saturday and finish with the hosts. Kelly Bowman will be back for the Gophers, while Malama Peniata will sit this tournament out due to the NCAA sand tournament violations. Her appeal was denied by the NCAA. Here is more from the MN Daily.

SW MN STATE BACK ON TRACK
SW MN State swept North Dakota 30-24, 30-28, 31-29 in Grand Forks. They made some switches in the lineup with two freshmen making their first starts: Sara Graff as setter, and Leah Ashburn in the middle. This game also marked the second time in as many games where SW MN State coach Terry Culhane had to face a former Marshall HS player. This time it was setter Allison Louwagie.
Two points of view with the Marshall Independent handling the SW MN State side and the North Dakota press release.
Marshall hosts a Northern Sun event this weekend. They face Northern State, MSU Moorhead, and Mary.
