#21 Colorado State Sweeps #8 Florida

D1 REPORTS
U Conn swept Florida A&M in the Michigan State tournament. Megan Frey (Chaska) had 6 points for the Huskies.

At Arizona State Cincinnati beat Montana in four. Kelsey Brandl (Lakeville North) had 12.5 points for the Bearcats.

#21 Colorado State swept #8 Florida in Fort Collins. Tessa Nelson (Tracy-Milroy-Balaton) had 8 points for CSU.

Iowa State swept Drake and then the Cyclones swept Xavier.
Diane Kieger (Mounds View) had 5 points vs Drake and 10 points vs Xavier.

Furman split their matches at Middle Tennessee State. They lost to Tennessee Tech in four and beat Miami OH in four.
Pamela Gehrke had 3 digs vs TT and 1 dig vs. Miami, OH.

George Washington swept Rider to win their own tournament. Abby Syverson (Minneapolis Southwest) had 1 point vs Rider.

Marquette split in their own tournament. They beat UW Green Bay in four and lost to Bowling Green in five.
Leslie Bielski (Chaska) had 8 points vs UWGB and 16 points vs BG.
Tiara Russell (Osseo) had 10.5 points vs UWGB and 9 points vs BG.

Maryland Eastern Shore beat Maine in a sweep in Buffalo. Chanita Wesley (Benilde-St. Margaret's had 11 digs and 2 points for the Hawks.

North Carolina beat Colorado in four in Boulder. Brianna Eskola (Columbia Heights) had 23 digs and 2 points for the Tar Heels.

North Dakota beat Gustavus in four and then the Fighting Sioux swept Carleton.
Britta Hanson (Thompson, ND) and Amanda Polzin (Hutchinson) had 16 points vs Gustavus. Polzin had 12 points vs Carleton.
Meghan Gehring had 12.5 points for Gustavus.
Katie Stanchak and Megan La Chapelle had 5.5 points for Carleton.

North Dakota State split Saturday at New Orleans. The Bison lost to host Tulane and then swept of Louisiana Tech.
Jennifer Lopez (DGF) had 7 points vs Tulane. Chrissy Knuth (Champlin Park) had 15 points vs LT.

At the Kansas State tournament Northern Iowa swept Liberty and then UNI swept Cornell.
Amy Sampson (Champlin Park) had 8 points vs Liberty and 5.5 points vs Cornell.

Penn lost twice at the Florida International tournament. They were swept by the hosts and Central Florida.
Virginia Senf (Woodbury) had 6 points vs FIU and another 6 vs CF.

At the New Hampshire Tournament Seton Hall beat Rhode Island in five. Evansville then swept the Rams.
Jillian Bekke (Cretin-Derham Hall) had 8 points vs SH and 3 points vs Evansville.

South Carolina swept Winthrop in the Carolina Challenge. Bridget Denson-Dorman had 34 assists and 3 points for USC.

Oklahoma stopped the Texas Christian win streak at nine in a four set loss.
Jess Menden (Shakopee) had 2 points and 2 digs for TCU.

Davidson split in their own tournament Saturday. They lost to George Mason in four and then swept Rutgers. Brittany Narr (Minnehaha) had 2 points in the Rutgers match.

Oregon State swept Portland in the Portland State tournament. The Pilots swept UC Riverside in the final. Jennifer Sheedy (Totino-Grace) had 10 points vs OSU and 11 vs UCR.

Host Virginia swept Binghamton and then the Cavaliers swept Appalachian State to take the title.
Marlow Bruneau (Lakeville) had 24 assists and 2 points vs Binghamton and 26 assists and 3.5 points vs AS.

Washington State swept Montana State in the their own tournament.
Montana State lost to Wichita State
Emily Rooney (Red Wing) had 6 points for the Cougars.
Lauren Viren (Prior Lake) had 11.5 points for MS and 6 points vs Wichita State.

Weber State won the Gonzaga tournament. The Wildcats beat UTEP in five and beat the hosts in four.
Brittney Bisaillon (Jackson County Central) had 22 points vs UTEP and 14 points vs Gonzaga.
Leah Burmeister (JCC) had 9.5 points vs UTEP and 7.5 points vs Gonzaga.

South Dakota beat UM Crookston in a sweep and also swept St. Cloud State.
Heather Hult (Hurley, SD) had 12 points vs UMC and Kathlee Hruska (Sioux Falls Roosevelt) had 20 points vs SCSU.
Heather Foreman (Brandon Vincent Massey, Manitoba) had 5 points for UMC.
Laurel Heggerness (Mora) had 8 points for SCSU.
