In a Northwest Suburban conference match Centennial swept Elk River with a 37 point margin on the Cougars' parent night. ER put up a fight in the early part of the first set, but once Centennial grabbed the lead the Cougars put the game into overdrive. Centennial dominated the first ball side out game with a .774 mark. At one point they had 11 straight FBSOs over two sets. The two Centennial outsides---Leigh Pudwill and Micah Sater---combined for 27.5 points on the night. Centennial is 4-1 in the NWS in second place trailing Blaine by a game. ER is 1-4.

The most competitive contest was the first set. Elk River led with an ace by Janell Finkbeiner after the first serve. ER only had two runs on the night and both occurred in the early portion of set one. With those two runs ER led 11-8. At that point Rachel Finkbeiner had three kills. An 8-1 run turned the whole night around for Centennial and they never looked back. Micah Sater closed out the first set with four of the last six points for the Cougars including a finishing ace.

That win seemed to deflate ER a bit and Centennial pushed out early in the second set with a 7-1 lead. Centennial led 16-9 when a six point run put the contest out of reach. Leigh Pudwill had two aces in that outburst.

Things didn't change much with an 8-1 run in the third set. Hannah Glocke served up five of the points with three aces to put the Cougar stamp on the set early. Centennial had four more three point runs in the third set. ER had problems generating much offense with only four earned points in the third set.
