SW MN State Hands Wayne State First Loss

#2 Concordia St. Paul swept Upper Iowa. Emily Palkert (SW Christian Chaska) had 16 points for CSP. Shea Meyermann (Camanche) had 8 points for UIU.

Winona State beat St. Cloud State in five. Carmen Stankowski (Mosinee, WI) had 20 points for WSU. Kayla Tschida (Upsala) had 15.5 points for SCSU.

Augustana beat MSU Mankato in a sweep. Beth Talcott (Omaha) had 12.5 points for Augustana. Ally Kwikkel (Waverly-Shell Rock, IA) had 9.5 points for Mankato.

#9 Southwest MN State swept Wayne State, Nebraska handing the Wildcats their first loss. Kasey Loeslie (Tracy-Milroy-Balaton) had 16.5 points for SW. Danielle Wessel (Humphrey St. Francis, NE) had 16.5 for WSN.

MSU Moorhead swept UM Crookston. Megan Norling (Armstrong) had 13 points for Moorhead. Danielle Rueter (Burlington, WI) and Amber Meyer(Paxton, NE) had 7 points each for Crookston.

Northern State beat Mary in a sweep. Kelsey Aden (St. James) and Melanie Perez (Puerto Rico) had 12 points for NSU. Amanda Hennessy (Williston) had 18 points for Mary.

Simpson beat Buena Vista in four. Kelli Luitjens (Worthington) had 12.5 points for BV.

Hamline swept UW Superior. Amanda Booth (Champlin Park) had 16 kills for the Pipers. Jess Ebel (Hermantown) had 10 kills for UWS.

Bethany Lutheran beat North Central in three. Eva Voss (MN Valley Lutheran) had 17 kills for BL.

The Duluth News Tribune has a story on former high school rivals Dustie Richardson of Greenway and Shawna Varichak of Hibbing now teammates at St. Scholastica.
CSS beat Stout in four. Amy Thompson (Onamia) had 15.5 points for CSS. Steph Nichols (Greendale) had 19.5 points for Stout.
