BIG 10 RESULTS
#11 Minnesota beat #16 Cal Poly in the Diet Coke Classic in Minneapolis. It was the second straight win over a top 25 team by the Gophers. Lauren Gibbemeyer (Cretin-Derham Hall) continued her strong net play with 19 points for Minnesota.

Indiana beat Albany in four in the Kentucky Invitational. The Hoosiers followed that with a sweep of Eastern Kentucky. Erica Short (Orrville, OH) had 17.5 points in the Albany win. Ashley Benson (Bloomington North, IN) had 20.5 points vs EKU.

Iowa beat Xavier in four at the Iowa State Tournament. The Hawkeyes followed that with a sweep of Drake. Catherine Smale (Rosary, IL) had 20.5 points vs Xavier. Megan Schipper (Aplington-Parkersburg, IA) had 13.5 points vs Drake.

#25 Michigan swept Toledo in their own tournament. The unbeaten Wolverines beat Auburn in four. Beth Karpiak (Lyons Township, IL) had 17 points vs Toledo and 17 vs Auburn.

Michigan State swept UConn in the Spartan Tournament for their 6th straight win. MSU's Vanessa King (Spring Lake, MI) won the MVP award for the second straight tournament. Jenilee Rathje (Mount Pleasant, MI) had 16.5 points for the Spartans.
UConn's Megan Frey (Chaska) had 7 points vs MSU.

#18 Wichita State beat Northwestern in five. The Wildcats led 2-0. Host Washington State swept the Wildcats later. Brittani Gray (Cincinnati Sycamore) had 20 points vs Wichita State. Sabel Moffet had 14.5 points in the Washington State match.
Naomi Johnson (Blooomington Kennedy) had 4.5 points vs Wichita State and 5 points vs Washington State.
Emily Rooney (Red Wing) had 10 points for Washington State.

#1 Penn State swept Illinois State. The Nittany Lions then swept Louisville to win the Chicago Tournament. Nicole Fawcett (Zanesville Logan, OH) had 23 points vs Illinois State. Fawcett and Megan Hodge (Durham Riverside) each had 16 points vs Louisville.

Utah State beat #15 Purdue in five in Salt Lake City. Kelli Miller set the Purdue career digs record with her 1568th in the Utah State match. The Boilermakers beat Utah in five later. Stephanie Lynch (New Albany, IN) had 22.5 points vs Utah State and 25 points vs Utah.

#14 Wisconsin swept IUPUI in the Wisconsin tournament. The Badgers beat #23 BYU in five. Audra Jeffers (Hartland Arrowhead, WI) had 18 points vs IUPUI. Brittney Dolgner (Waupun, WI) had 19.5 points vs BYU.
Nikki Klingsporn (Tartan) was named MVP of the tournament. She had 36 assists and 0.5 points vs IUPUI, and 45 assists and 5 points vs BYU.
