I reported on the Minnesota sweep victory over #4 California last night in the out & about. Lauren Gibbemeyer (Cretin-Derham Hall) had 16.5 points for the Gophers.

#17 Illinois split their matches at the Tennessee tournament. Both went five. The Illini lost to Dayton and then beat the hosts.
Laura DeBruhler had 28 points in the Dayton loss and 18.5 points vs Tennessee.

Kentucky beat Indiana in four despite having two players with big nights. Ashley Benson had 24 and Erica Short had 23 for the Hoosiers.

Iowa State won the battle of Iowa with a sweep over the Hawkeyes.
Megan Schipper had 13 points for the Hawkeyes.
Diane Kieger (Mounds View) had 8 points for Cyclones.

Michigan swept Oakland in the Michigan Pepsi Invitational. Juliana Paz had 16.5 points for the Wolverines.

Michigan State swept UW Milwaukee and then swept Florida A&M in the MSU Showcase.
Becca Zlabis had 14.5 points vs UWM. Jenilee Rathje had 8.5 points vs FAMU.

Northwestern swept Montana State at Washington State.
Chelsy Hyser had 14 points for NW.
Naomi Johnson (Bloomington Kennedy) had 4.5 points for NW.
Laura Viren (Prior Lake) had 5 points for MSU.

#6 Southern Cal swept Ohio State. Anna Szerszen had 13.5 points for the Buckeyes. Susan Halvorson (Apple Valley) had 2 digs for OSU.

#1 Penn State swept UI Chicago in the Chicago Tournament. Christa Harmatto had 14.5 points for PSU.

#15 Purdue beat St. Louis in four. Last week St. Louis beat Stanford. Stephanie Lynch had 16.5 points for the Boilermakers.

#14 Wisconsin swept Central Michigan giving Badger coach Pete Waite is 500th career win. Audra Jeffers had 12.5 points for the Badgers. Nikki Klingsporn (Tartan) had 31 assists and 8 points for Wisconsin.
