AA Tie Broken, 3 Letters for Defense: T-A-N

MINNESOTA HIGH SCHOOL POLLS
The top spot in AA is no longer a three way tie. St. Cloud is alone in first place by the narrow margin of one point. Marshall had four first place votes, one off SCC's total, but is further back at third.
CHANGES
AAA #2 Eastview and #4 Chaska flip flop spots from last week. Blaine makes their way in the top 10 to #8 while last week's #10 Alexandria drops out.
AA: Wadena-Deer Creek is the new #10 replacing last week's Caledonia.
A: Lakeview moves to #9 while last week's #10 Onamia is out.

PIERZ TOURNAMENT
Wadena-Deer Creek won the Pierz tournament. The hosts ended up in third. From the Brainerd Dispatch.

COLLEGE NEWS
BIG 10 AWARDS
The Gophers' Christine Tan picked her third Big 10 Defensive Player of the Week. She also won last week. Maybe they should just call it the Tan Award. Vanessa King of Michigan State was named Offensive Player of the Week.

MORE D1 NEWS
Penn State will Dig Pink this weekend vs Michigan State.
Penn will hold their Dig Pink event on Oct. 24.

Marquette will hold two clinics for k-8 kids on Oct. 18 and Nov. 16.
