D2 RESULTS: FRIDAY 9/5
At the Lewis Tournament Michigan Tech swept Winona State and Northern Michigan beat the Warriors in four. Kerry Daly (Woodbury) had 8 kills vs MTU and 11 vs NMU.

Eckerd College swept MSU Mankato and Tampa branded the Mavericks 3-1. Ashley Nachreiner (Round Rock, TX) had 14 kills vs Eckerd and 20 vs Tampa.

In Denver #3 Concordia St. Paul swept #20 Central Missouri and Regis. Maria Steinhagen (Alexandria) had 13 kills vs CM and Emily Palkert (SW Christian Chaska) had 14 kills vs Regis.

UM Crookston lost twice Friday. Lake Superior State won in a sweep and Manitoba won 3-1.

In Colorado Augustana outlasted Grand Valley State in five and did the same with Metro State. Beth Talcott (Omaha) had 21 points for Augustana vs GVSU. Kati Newgard (Pipestone) had 18.5 points vs Metro State.

UN Kearney swept Upper Iowa, and then UIU swept Chadron State. Shey Meyerman (Camanche, IA) had 9 points vs UNK and 14.5 points vs CSU.

MSU Moorhead beat South Dakota 3-1. MSUM faced Lake Superior State later.
South Dakota swept Bemidji State later. Earlier Manitoba swept Bemidji State in the UM Crookston tournament.

In the Colorado Springs Tournament Southwest Minnesota State swept Mesa State and beat the hosts UC Colorado Springs in four.
Laura Hegerle (Kasson-Mantorville) and Kasey Loeslie (Tracy-Milroy-Balaton) had 13 points each in the Mesa State contest. Loeslie had 17 in the UCCS match.

In the SW Baptist Tournament Wayne State, Nebraska beat Texas A&M Commerce in four and Rockhurst in five. Jennifer Hefner (Central City, Nebraska) had 22.5 points vs TAMC. Danielle Wessel (Humphrey St. Francis, Nebraska) had 22.5 vs Rockhurst.

Mary was swept twice on Friday. Truman State and Incarnate Word both had brooms ready. Mary's Amanda Hennessy (Williston, North Dakota) had 13 kills in the TSU game. Laci Murtha (Hutchinson) had 10 kills vs IW.

Adams State handed UM Duluth their first loss of the year in a 3-2 win. UMD bounced back with a sweep over Mesa State. Sarah Wyffels (Marshall) had 17 kills vs Adams State. Lindsey Clairmont (Wayzata) had 12 kills vs Mesa State.
