HIGH SCHOOL
LATE SATURDAY RESULTS
#2 AA Marshall finished 2-2 and in 6th place in the Apple Valley Tournament. The Tigers beat #3 AA Jordan and lost to #4 AAA Lakeville North. From the Marshall Independent.

Detroit Lakes was 1-1 on the week with a win over Frazee and a loss to Wadena-Deer Creek. From the Detroit Lakes Tribune.

Blue Earth swept St. Peter last Tuesday. Danika Stindtman had 12 kills for BE. From the Faribault County

D1 NEWS
The Minnesota Daily digests the Gopher's surprising loss to North Carolina. Minnesota was #8 in the last D1 poll.

#13 Wisconsin swept host Marquette in the Cheese Bowl tournament.
Nikki Klingsporn (Tartan) had 20 assists and 1 point for the Badgers.
Katherine Dykstra had 14 points to lead the Badgers.
Tiara Russell (Osseo) had 5.5 points for Marquette.
Leslie Bielski (Chaska) had 9 points for Marquette.

Maryland Eastern Shore beat Radford on Saturday in the Colonial Challenge.
Chanita Wesley (Benilde-St. Margaret's) had 6 digs for UMES.

Penn beat Seton Hall in five. Virginia Senf (Woodbury) had 2 points for Penn.

South Carolina swept Georgia. Bridget Denson-Dorman (Hopkins) had 39 assists and 5.5 points for USC.

Missouri State swept South Dakota State in Brookings. Mackenzie Angner (Cincinnati St. Ursula) had 14 points for SDSU.

In the Appalachian State tournament Charlotte swept North Carolina A&T. Wake Forest then beat the 49ers in four. The hosts then topped Charlotte in a sweep.
Courtney Cowles (Eden Prairie) had 40 assists and 5 points vs NCA&T; 40 assists again and 9 points vs Wake Forest; and 30 assists and 3 points vs Appalachian State.

In the Brown Tournament the hosts beat Stony Brook in five. The Sea Wolves beat Bryant in five and swept Quinnipiac.
Alicia Nelson (Eastview) had 13.5 points vs Brown, 19.5 points vs Bryant; and 15.5 points vs Quinnipiac.

Southwest Minnesota State had their first home match this season when they beat MSU Mankato. From the Marshall Independent.

Buena Vista beat Midland Lutheran in four on Friday. Sam Narveson (Chatfield) had 13.5 points for BV.

Jamestown swept Dakota State. Darci Purath (Red Lake Falls) had 4 kills for Jamestown.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Ridgewater was 1-1 at Central Lakes. The Warriors beat Mesabi Range before falling to rival Central Lakes. From the West Central Tribune.
