#11 Hawaii Tops #12 Gophers

The #12 Gophers fell to host #11 Hawaii in five games. Kyla Roehrig had 17.5 points to lead Minnesota. Brook Dieter (Bloomington Kennedy) had 13 kills and Lauren Gibbemeyer (Cretin-Derham Hall) had 11 kills for the Gophers.

#19 Illinois beat host St. Louis. 3-1. Laura DeBruhler had 14 points for the Illini.

Indiana swept Valparaiso in the Hoosier Classic. Erica Short set a new Hoosier record with 24 kills in a three set match. The Hoosiers followed that with another sweep at Wake Forest. Short continued her hot streak with 19 points vs WF.

Iowa beat Tennessee 3-1 in Denver. Catherine Smale and Megan Schipper each had 21.5 points for the Hawkeyes.

Michigan State picked up their first win of the year with a sweep at the Delaware tournament. Jenilee Rathje and Becca Zlabis each had 12.5 points.

Host Dayton beat Northwestern in the Flyer Tournament 3-2. Brittani Gray had 21 points for the Wildcats.

Host Penn State swept Long Island in the PSU tournament. Katie Kabbes had 10 points for the Nittany Lions.

Purdue swept Tennessee Tech in the Ball State Tournament. Stephanie Lynch had 12.5 points for the Boilermakers.

#10 Wisconsin survived host UNLV 3-2 in Las Vegas. Brittney Dolgner had 24 points for the Badgers. Nikki Klingsporn (Tartan) had 9 assists for Wisconsin. The Badgers had travel problems which is chronicled in the Badger Blog.
