#7AAA Woodbury swept host Forest Lake in a Suburban East match up tonight. The Royals used a strong net game highlighted by 9 blocks in stopping the Rangers. Woodbury used five players over 6-0 at the net. Outside hitter Greta Strenger led the balanced Royals with 12 points.

The Royals broke out from a four all tie in the first game with a seven point run on Strenger's serve. Forest Lake took a time out at 10-4, but Strenger came out of the break with an ace. The burst, plus the fact the Royals never allowed more than two points in a row, helped cement the first set win. 19 of the 25 Woodbury points were earned in the first set.

The second set was similar to the first in many ways. A six point Royal surge put Woodbury up 14-7. But the difference in this set was the unforced errors provided by the Rangers. FL handed Woodbury 16 points in set two. The Royals had five aces in set two.

Forest Lake changed the line up in set three. The Royals weren't fazed and jumped out to a 10-2 run. That forced FL to take a time out. Once again Woodbury earned 19 points in the set. In this set Woodbury had a block party. The Royals earned four points in the last set off blocks. The Royals had a 22-12 lead when FL started to click with an 8-2 run. The Rangers had too much ground to make up and the set ended on a kill by Michelle Graham.
